Curious about a firearm that was left to you by your Grandfather?
Wondering about the caliber of a gun or if you can still get ammunition for it?
Have an old gun but not sure whether or not it's safe to shoot?
There are literally thousands of types of semi-autos in the world today, and NAPCA has members with expertise on every one of them.
We're confident that one of our members can tell you as much, and probably more than, you want know about your
family heirloom, the gun you found
in the rafters of your new house, the pistol that your friend's uncle
has or the semi-auto that you want to part with properly.
Without photographs we will only be able to give you an answer based on your description of the pistol,
though we still can attempt an identification.
To help us, be sure to include photographs or drawings of any marks you see on the pistol.
The smallest proof mark can change the pistol's story greatly.
For an identification, send all pertinent information to:

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SHIP A FIREARM TO OUR ADDRESS.
If physical examination becomes necessary for an identification, we will
contact you to explain the federal and local legalities involved.
